This premium quality solid oak drawer front is very basic, just a flat panel with detailing around the outside edge. Measures 8 inches high and 18 inches wide. The outside detailing matches all of our oak doors [except Shakers and mitered], making them a good choice when you need short drawer fronts. It's precision crafted from solid American Red Oak 13/16 thick. Please see the images above for exact profiles. Oak cabinetry is prized for its beautiful grain and typically stained. When painted, the distinctive texture of oak's grain will show through the paint. This is desirable if you have painted oak cabinets, but for a smooth painted finish we'd suggest maple instead. Finishing guidelines for the homeowner come with every order. If you're a complete novice at wood finishing try practicing on some scrap oak first, or hiring a professional to finish your drawer fronts for you.
