About the Author Awhe Akiri earned two Masters Degrees and was a project management consultant and business owner for 12 years. He has been a trainer and engaged in many public speaking events. He worked as a Life, Accident, Health, Property and Liability Insurance, and Securities licensed Financial Services Representative of the South Jersey Financial Group of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Corp. (MetLife) Inc. He was a Fellow of the Norwegian Agency for International Development and Economic Development Institute of the World Bank (World Bank Institute). Awhe has consulted for Coker-Smith International Inc./USAID, Nigeria, and trained a couple of thousands of project management professionals for the World Bank, United Nations, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Governments of Nigeria. Awhe was Head Project Management Unit ARMTI, Ilorin, a Nigerian Government/ World Bank project. His speaking and training engagements include "Speaker" at the North America, PMI Global Congress, in Atlanta, GA, on design and implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Projects. He was "Speaker" at the 4th International Program/Project Management Workshop, at the Institut de Superieur Gastion Industrielle (ISGI), Lille, France, and Trainer in project management and World Bank procurement policies and procedures for the Government of Southern Sudan. He was the Trainer for implementation of World Bank/ Ethiopian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure Development Program. He was "Speaker of the Month" at the Delaware (Philadelphia) and Keystone (Harrisburg) Chapters of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He was Speaker at the Development and Project Planning Centre, University of Bradford, United Kingdom. He was an Africa Regional Training Consultant, AMTA 1, a World Bank/ OAU STRC/ FAO program for Southern Africa. He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the United States, Society of Standards Professionals (SES).
