Dogan Cuceloglu, who might be called "the father of modern psychology in Turkey", was mourned by millions of his readers when he passed away. Born in a small rural village in 1938 as the youngest of 12 children, he lost his mother when he was 10 years old and had a distant relationship with his own father.
