St. Joseph’s Indian Normal School, Rensselaer, Indiana: A Condensed Narrative History
The author’s narrative account of the history of St. Joseph’s Indian Normal School in Rensselaer, Indiana, begins at a young age. Drawn to the structure over a period of decades, she is eventually compelled to look into the school’s records, culminating in 2016, with granted access to its archives. What follows is a condensed story of some of the information about the history of St. Joe’s. While nothing can make amends for the boarding school era, there can be no potential for healing without truth. And while truth and healing are certainly never requirements for life, may this work simply be an impetus for change and a step on the road to human equality and equity. This book is free to the public aside from printing and shipping charges.

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
