iFilters KDF and GAC Well or City Water Whole House Filtration 4.5" x 10"
KDF2-4510 4.5" x 10" Coconut GAC + 1 LB KDF cartridge. For City or Well Water Whole House or Commercial use. This filter is made from coconut shell GAC in combination with KDF̴ media to significantly extend the life of the filter cartridges and provide exceptional filtration. KDF̴ 55 media is a redox media that removes chlorine, and reduces heavy metals. KDF̴ redox media is bacteriostatic and inhibits the growth of microorganisms in the filter. The GAC Activated carbon has remarkable cleaning and absorptive properties, which makes it an effective way to purify water. Chemicals and contaminants in the water are absorbed by the carbon, effectively removing and reducing them from the water. The addition of KDF̴ media is used to complement activated carbon filters. It aids in the removal of chlorine when treating municipal waters, and extends the life of carbon, while limiting bacterial growth in the filter. Additionally, the KDF̴ has the ability to remove water-soluble cations via the oxidation-reduction process, resulting in a cost effective alternative to chemical treatment. Benefits: GAC and 1 lb of KDF Removal of organic compounds including VOCs, radon, chlorine, bad taste and odor Made from NSF approved materials Used in the MWH-D-WELL whole house water filtration system as well as any housings and systems. Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
