British Marines served as boarders, landing parties and sharpshooters aboard England's naval commands. Marine officers that had achieved the rank of captain were given a courtesy promotion when they served under a Naval captain to prevent confusion during battles.This new W. Britain collection called 'Jack Tars & Leathernecks' will feature both Marines and Naval personnel from many countries of the world. This collection will have marines, sailors, officers and landing parties.
