Call down the Hawk
Review "Call Down The Hawk is an exciting and engaging thriller. The action is balanced with generous doses of suspense, but the book is more than a thriller with a large cast of well-developed and interesting characters. It is a beautifully told, almost poetic, story of fear, loss, love, friendship, sin and redemption. There are passages of deep psychological and philosophic insight. Add lyric depictions of falconry and some of the loveliest and most majestic parts of the United States and Ireland and you have a wonderful book that transcends genres." Lee Holz Goodreads ReviewerThis book is brilliantly written in so many aspects. It gives the reader a history of the Irish struggles without being didactic. The book has a wonderful description of the West of Ireland-- it is so well done that --it plants a thirst for wanting to visit. Falconry is so out of my frame of reference that I was surprised to be absolutely enthralled by the sport or rather, I should say, the art of it. The characters are so well crafted that they become everything you expect them to be--earthy, intense, colorful or sinister--the way the author portrays each of them you feel the love or hate as the intricacies of their lives are woven throughout the story. It is completely obvious that Maurice knows his way around weapons, the Middle East, Ireland's countryside and history, falconry and the house he describes so vividly. This book is everything you could want in a book--and the suspense, mystery, and drama make it a nail-biter and page turner. If it is ever made into a movie,(and it should be) I'll be first in line to see it! Out of 5 stars, I give it a ten! Marilyn Brand, Cinncinnati Ohio. About the Author

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
