U-Bild 644 Rocker Cradle Project Plan

★★★★4.0·18 reviews

Based on a classic early-American design, this clever do-it-yourself rocker cradle project is destined to become a family heirloom. Combining a cozy cradle for baby and a comfortable rocking chair for mom or dad, the project will be appreciated by generations of parents (and grandparents) to come-especially after midnight. The rocker cradle's simple construction (mostly straight cuts and full-size patterns for the curves) make it easy enough for most woodworkers. Required materials include dimensional oak lumber (as pictured; most other species will work), dowels, ready-made finials, screws, glue and finish. To build, simply trace the parts onto wood (some edge-joining of stock is required), cut everything out and sand. Next, assemble the pieces using glue, screws and dowels. To complete, apply finish of choice and add a pad inside the cradle. The rocker cradle measures about 51 inches long by 18 inches wide by 45 inches tall (at the back of the chair). About U-Bild plans: U-Bild plans are ideal for woodworkers and do-it-yourselfers of all skill levels. Unique "trace, saw and assemble" designs feature simple-to-follow patterns (like sewing patterns) that produce professional-looking results.

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
