About the Author Swami Sivanananda gave up Medical practice and went to Rishikesh and was initiated into Dashnami Sannyasa in 1924 by Vishwanananda Saraswati. In 1936 he founded several Institutions, most important of these being the Divine Life Society. During his life time Swami Sivanananda guided thousands of disciples and aspirants all over the world and authored over two hundred books. One of his most famous disciples is Swami Satyanananda Saraswati, who founded the internationally famous Bihar School of Yoga, whose publications like Asana Pranyama Mudra Bandha, Kundalini Tantra and many others are all time favourites on amazon.com website.
