About the Author April is a married mother of 1. She has lived in the Northwest all her life and has been married for nearly 22 years. Before April was married she was a figure skater for over twenty years and after competing she went on to do some ice shows and coaching. As time went by April realized she wanted to devote her time towards raising a family. She has dealt with a number of health issues along with her 17 year old son Ryan who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2010 and Celiac disease in 2012. It was then that April started her quest to keep her family healthy by going totally gluten free. When she started this journey she had no resources and very little help so through trial and error she is now ready to share her hard work and help others.
