Clare Beaton's Action Rhymes (Clare Beaton's Rhymes)
From School Library Journal PreS–The seven rhymes per book keep these collections small and memorable. Each one is given its own spread. Youngsters will notice the attractive appliqué stitch-work detail on the cloth backgrounds of the illustrations while listening to familiar (“Little Bo Peep”) and not-so-familiar (“The Elephant”) verses. They will see the text size become larger and darker to describe the big, fat elephant and the lines wave for Little Bo Peep's sheep, “wagging their tails behind them.” Many of these traditional poems in Action Rhymes can be acted out. Because of the small trim size, these books will best be used for a lapsit or a small circle group.–Blair Christolon, Prince William Public Library System, Manassas, VA. (c) Copyright 2010. Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
