Clones: The Clowns of Technology
From the Author Why write yet another book on cloning? There have been numerous ones over the past four or so years, and it is more than likely that the flood of books on this intriguing topic will continue unabated. Is this book nothing more than a part of the flood? It may be, but I hope not. The reason for this is that I see cloning as something much larger than the technique of nuclear replacement. Of course, it is this, but it is also part of a far bigger venture, fitting as it does into the whole area that has become the artificial reproductive technologies. As we contemplate what cloning is and what prospects it opens up for us, we come face to face with what we want from biomedical technology. About the Author

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
