Colors of Mexico (Colors of the World) (English and Spanish Edition)
From School Library Journal Grade 2-5. Ten colors are presented in double-page spreads, with 4-to-10 sentences that describe an aspect of Mexico that relates to that color, e.g., white is for the skeletons of the Day of the Dead; green for Mayan jade jewelry; and orange for the monarch butterflies that winter in the Sierra Madres. The book begins with a map and an introductory page, but the text ends abruptly without a concluding page, causing readers to wonder if they've missed something. Large, cheery oil paintings done in bright hues and with bold strokes reflect the countryside and various aspects of Mexican culture. Due to the brevity of the text and the nature of the information, this title will be most useful as a visual introduction to our neighbors south of the border.?Denise E. Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
