About the Author "Song of the King's Daughters" is my first novel. This story is an allegory of sorts from my childhood and the struggles of my family. Yet I took the historical place of Galicia, the place of my ancestors who were believed to be Jewish and ended up leaving their home because of war. My book shows the struggles of relationships that comes with mothers and daughters when abuse and neglect (mental and physical) are not forgiven or healed. This book was a very long journey for me - taking a total of almost eleven years. The journey was wonderful at times, and very frustrating at others. Between the lines and chapters, I fostered several children, continued to raise my own, and fell in love with new grandchildren. And I really do not believe I would have ever finished this book if it had not been for a chance encounter with a fellow author on a plane trip that said, "Just finish it." And so I did, with much, much, much help from my beloved family. I dedicated this book to my deceased brother, Gregory, with the hope that child abuse will one day end in our nation. Most of all, I thank my savior, Jesus Christ, Yeshua, who allowed His healing power to resolve things in my past while writing this allegory of sorts of my life and those around me. And, for the talent He gave me for the sketches that will look pretty familiar to some. I felt including them stretched my artistic talents, I used the likenesses of people in my family and one dear friend.
