Kennedy Music: An Historical Novel Based on the Kennedy Family, Maplewood, MO
Wanda Kennedy Kuntz, whose parents owned Kennedy Music for decades in Maplewood, has published a book about the store and the times. Kuntz is holding a book release and signing party at The Book House ( 7352 Manchester Road), Sunday December 7. An Historical Novel based on the Kennedy Family, Maplewood, Missouri. In Kennedy Music, Ray is a charismatic, hot-swing trumpet player who comes toMaplewood and opens a music school and store at the height of the Great Depression, according to Kuntz. Mae is a demure, starstruck beauty 20 years his junior. Together they work to raise a family and keep their small business afloat as the world—and the music industry—changes around them. This story spans over four decades in which shellac records eventually evolved into cassette tapes, and big band jazz gave way to rock ‘n’ roll. Kuntz says the story “recalls an era when a music store could serve as the heart for an entire town, and when a family reached beyond a simple brick and mortar store to make their mark on the world around them.”

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
