The Italy Conspiracy
About the Author J.D. Mallinson hails from northern England, completing his education at London University. On graduation with honors, his subsequent teaching career has taken him to Finland and Switzerland, in addition to employment in English highschools. He uses this background, together with his wide experience of European travel, in his mystery novels, evoking local color, character, customs and gastronomy very effectively. 'The Italy Conspiracy' is the third book in his Inspector Mason series. Previous titles are 'Danube Stations', set aboard a Danube River cruise from Vienna to the Black Sea, and 'The File on John Ormond', which takes place in winter-bound Finland during the Cold War era. These novels, favorably reviewed in the British press, are of a good literary standard, focusing on original plots, interesting characters and unusual settings. They should appeal to a wide age-range and to readers who enjoy real-time or armchair European travel. In 2000, the author immigrated to New England with his Oklahoma-born wife Catharine, also a teacher. His other interests include year-round outdoor pursuits, art and music.

Doc fetch goes through Layer's Aerospike pull-through cache; cache hit served the row without touching turbopuffer. The similar query re-embeds this product's title with CLIP-text and runs a vector query — queries don't go through the doc cache, so no cache header is set.
