Join the adoption adventure! Each year, millions of dogs are abandoned across the United States. Follow Amanda May as she takes matters into her own hands, determined to find homes for every dog at her local animal shelter - all in one day! Inspired by a real life challenge author Debra Cheehy once faced as director of a Texas humane society, I Like Dogs teaches compassion for animals through cleverly written rhymes and the brilliantly detailed artwork of illustrator Carol Hilliard. Both author and illustrator are long time volunteers in dog rescue, and a generous portion of proceeds will be donated to shelters and rescues across the nation, as well as fund educational programs in schools and online.
