Bushwhacked Bride is a fun and fast-paced romance that will knock your socks off...especially if your taste roams to heavy petting and even heavier love scenes. An old west summer excursion might have sounded like fun to begin with, but Jessica Garrett was fast tiring of this silly charade. Dressed in old west attire, she and her fellow faculty members are heading for Mariposa, a ghost town, as the sounds of Roy Rogers float through the antique stage coach. She's aching from bouncing and hating every minute of this trip, wishing it over and telling herself "never again"! With one more bump, however, Jessica finds herself facing people who seem to really think they belong in the Old West. Then a real bullet flies through the coach window. Jessica finds herself facing five outlaws, all brandishing weapons and behaving very badly to her way of thinking. The only way this stupid prank could be worse is if it were real! The Reklaw brothers thought they were taking a woman home to enjoy. Ma Reklaw, however, has other ideas about the lovely young lady her sons brought home. She can't allow the lady to leave. Jessica might turn her boys over to the sheriff, and besides, Ma Reklaw thinks it high time for her sons to start changing their thieving ways. A contest to win Miss Jessie might just do the trick. "Miss Jessie's hand to the winner!" Now Jessie has four outlaws trying to win her hand in marriage.....make that five. The oldest, Cole, turns out to be her number one nemesis. He's charming -- like a snake -- and that smile is to die for. His body is enough to make any woman falter. And when he kisses her, she melts! Lordy! What is she doing here? In this strange time with this strange man? She decides on reform. Maybe, if she can just get these boys to quit their outlaw ways and go to church and meet some decent women...just maybe she can do this time some good before she goes back to her time. There are a couple of questions for Jessie to answer though. How will she ever get those boys to listen to her? How will she ever get them to change their ways? How will she ever resist Cole's touch? Bushwhacked Bride is an incredibly fast read and a thoroughly fun adventure. The plot is invigorating, the characters are imaginative, and the love scenes are steamy. Have a little fun! Let down your guard! Take a little trip back in time on a long and drowsy afternoon! Five outlaws vanquished by one sassy college professor. Fun and frolic in the old west! Eugenia Riley melts the pages with hot and heavy romance! Time travel to the old west heats the heart! Bushwhacked Bride lacks nothing in plot or character.
